How to put together a really good gift box!
Lovebox Sweden |9/01, 2024
Putting together your own gift box is like building a box of experiences. Many of you who have built your own gift box at Lovebox Sweden, and who have had the opportunity to hand over the gift box to the recipient, know this. For those of you who want to be a little inspired about how to think when building it, here is a little blog post where we look at 4 tips on how to maximize the gift box experience (through the gifts you put into the gift box). No sales talk, but we think about a lot of this ourselves when we compose ready-made gift boxes.
1. Make sure the gifts are of different shapes, uses, and textures.
But keep the same theme as much as possible. For example, a spa theme is soap (it has a certain consistency/look), bath bomb (a little different and with nice gift packaging it becomes very different), towel (feels soooo different) and possibly chocolate. One you clean yourself with, the second you cuddle with, the third you dry yourself with and the last one you eat. And everything - you enjoy and relax with. See how it became a theme but with different things that have different shapes, uses and textures.
A gift box with 4 soaps might not have been as fun. Even though the soaps are different in shape. It's like everything has the same use and feels a bit "cake on cake".
2. Think about what type of experience you want to provide, i.e. what is the theme?
Is it self-care? Is it horses? Is it toys? Is it relaxation? Is it humor? Is it love? What do you want to give the recipient? Then choose products that fit the purpose/theme.
3. Add something to as many senses as possible.
The sight? Beautiful gift box. The feeling? Beautiful and luxurious (like ours :D) gift box and exciting things to feel and touch. The taste? Something good to munch on. The smell? Soaps and the like usually smell good. It's only the hearing that's missing here and that's a hard nut for us to crack too.
4. The little extra - namely YOU/YOU/THE RECIPIENT - A personal gift beats everything
I can't emphasize this part enough. We who build the boxes see a big difference in the finished product when the customer adds their own photo and writes a message. It's like the gift box comes to life. A story is built. And if even we who build the gift boxes feel it, the recipient will really feel it too. The icing on the cake. Absolutely!
It's as we usually say,
There's always a reason to Lovebox someone - what's yours?
